The silver button on the top right of the compressor next to the lights is a dual action button. Press the left side to turn unit on and off. Press the right side to select power, low, medium, and high. Most customers use low or medium as a starting point. Experiment to see what works best for you. Turn on compressor. Hold airbrush and pull back on the trigger on top. The air pressure remains constant. The only way to change the air pressure is to select low medium or high on the compressor. The trigger on the top of the airbrush gun is used to dispense the makeup. The more you pull back the more make that comes out. Its better so start off with a real light application then layer it to get the coverage you need. This will give you a natural looking finish. It can also be helpful to practice spraying on your forearm. The more you pull back on the trigger the more product will come out. The closer you get the smaller the spray pattern. The farther away the larger the spray pattern.

For first time users, practice with water so that you do not waste product, you can spray into a paper towel, or on your arm to determine how much pressure to use. For most makeup application you will use the low setting. Practice trigger control, the more you pull back on the “trigger” or lever, the more product will be expelled. Use the air that is coming out as your guide, wherever you feel air is where you will have makeup applied. Prepare the skin properly using a good facial wash. Tickled Pink carries a good quality Gel Facial Cleanser. Use a toner to ensure your skin is rinsed free from cleanser and skin is PH balanced. Tickled Pink carries two options for toner, AHA Facial Toner and Vitamin C Facial Toner. Lightly spray 4-6 drops of Tickled Pink Moisturizer and let dry completely. You are now ready for makeup. Do not use regular foundation in the airbrush! Shake the makeup before using and throughout use. Practice lightly, layering makeup. Over applying especially when applying concealer as it can result in areas where makeup is thicker and does not dry as fast as the rest of the makeup. Use concealers and high lighters for T-zone, under the eyes, and to cover blemishes. Use a bronzer for contouring and a color that best fits the person’s skin tone for the overall blending color. Use cotton rounds as stencils, especially under the eyes. You will use less makeup than traditional makeup

Don’t close your eyes too tight (squinting) when going over the face, this will make wrinkles stand out. Keep face as relaxed as possible (cotton rounds help)Hold the Airbrush gun 1-2 inches away for covering blemishes. Let the makeup dry between layers. Hold the Airbrush gun 4-6 inches from your face when doing overall makeup (make a fist to measure) Keep the Airbrush gun in motion at all times while applying makeup. The closer you go, the more concentrated the color will be. Blend the neck area in with the rest of the face to avoid “the line” or major contrast. You can blend colors in the cup; put a drop or two of each in the cup and block the needle cap with a finger and pull back on the “trigger” or lever the air flow causes the colors to mix in the cup. Add a couple drops of bronzer to your foundation to give a subtle glow. To add color to the lips, use a blush color. Lastly, clean after use. It is essential to keep your airbrush gun clean so it continues to work properly without clogging. Turn the machine on high to clean. Use our cleaner or warm tap water, fill the cup, block the needle cover with a finger and pull back on the “trigger” or lever causing the water to back flush. Then use more water to fill the cup again and run the water out of the gun. You may want to use a clean Q-tip to make sure you have gotten all the makeup out of the cup.
